 Post subject: Nigerians, hahahahah
PostPosted: Tue Jun 21, 2005 10:14 pm
i had a similiar "model" experience (apparently my guy was a Gucci model, lmao) but the guy sent me $650k in fake postal money orders to cash and wire back to him, after of course keeping $9k for myself for the trouble. He wanted me to mail out other envelopes which my name had been written on so i opened the envelopes. More money orders to people. I knew all along it was a scam so I just would rather have the money orders sent to me instead of some innocent people who would cash them or even worse mail them to others. Well when I turend the money orders over to the authorities I went on to play some fun games with Tony Fernandez (from the UK but couldn't understand english, lmao). I told him they confinscated my pc from work, was under investigation for cashing the checks and was going to lose my son over this scam. He kept IM'ing me after I got the money orders to ensure that I was not in jail and to tell me he loved me. I would just sit at my desk and bust up laughing at the conversations, lmao.

Dude, that's hillarious. I find it really hard to laugh right now having just read everyone elses stories about being ripped off, and had everything taken from them. Poor college students, the disabled, it's really disgusting. Personally I found this site after I had two different people contact me via email regarding a guitar I was selling through an online classified site. I thought the broken english, and the fact that they didn't ask any questions about the guitar were really fishy, so I investigated, and I am so glad I did. I could have been taken. Right now I'm trying to decide whether to just report them, have fun with them, or try to find some piece of proof to take to my local authorities. Of course, i'm not too awfully concerened because I won't fall for it...but it still pisses me off heavily. Let us know about how your nigerian vacation ended up, i'm excited to hear about it :)

London-
The best bet is to play with them. The authorities will not follow up on any proof you get and they will not follow up on any reports you make, I hate to be cynical, but they are knee deep in these scams, go to 419eater.com and have fun! BAIT AWAY!

I found this site after a scammer e-mailed me about the vehicle I'm selling on cars4sale.com. I have read ALL the "Mary/Louis/Bratt/Williams messages and I have truly been entertained!!!!!!!!! Thank you so much for sharing this with the rest of us!
I am looking for the next installment, so whenever you get back from "Nigeria"..... unless ofcourse those "oil ministry" guys hold you hostage or something until you sign with them.... and then maybe they'd let you go for say.... $300.00, which "Mary" could get from the "concierge" after showing her ID....
hahahahahahaha it could just go on and on couldn't it?

Last I read you were "cutting your vacation short" in Nigeria, and asking if you would see "Mary" before you left. Then what happened?

Like you I googled all of the info about the airport, the ambassador and the general. I doubt they will write back but I take great joy in imagining them taking down their headquarters for fear of the general's Wrath! :D

Corey, send him another email asking his what gifts he would like you to bring to him when you arrive, ask if he'd like laptops, watches, etc. really get his hopes up that you are filthy rich and willing to share the wealth with him. Also, you should get him to do somethig, perhaps make reservations for you at a hotel or something- he needs to waste some time/ money on this :) funny stuff! I can't wait to hear the outcome!

I sent Him This email:

Hello,

Since the last time I wrote to you I have gotten so excited about your proposal to share wealth with me that I have decided to send you some gifts. I Have spoken with my sales coordinator in Switzerland and he assures me that Our new line of laptops are ready for the market. How would you like it if I send you say..... 10 of them?! After speaking with my assistant I now realize that I must postpone our meeting until the end of the month. I have an important meeting with a potential 165 million dollar client. I am still so excited to have met you!!! I cannot believe the luck I have at finding new ways to make money. Are you a handsome man? I hope so... I am a flaming homosexual with deep desires to meet someone like yourself who keeps scheming new ways to make money.

Quote:
I wonder if I can get this guy to go along with the gay thing?!!lol I am not gay but it would be hilarious if I can get him to start engaging in some kind of email gender scam!!! LMAO

It is OK if you feel the same way about me. I just need a companion that I can share my considerable wealth with... Please write back soon. Let me know if you feel the same. I can send you some money if you like to help with your expenses getting this done. Should I send it to your office? Let one know. TTYL
