Same story here being Alan Bircher from Harbor Capital Management and the offer some US$11.75 for shares today at US$0.03 - aim to liquidate company and make use of licenses etc. I did purchase 200 of these shares 10-15 years back why gave it wee bit of credence amongst the weekly scams coming my way. Those shares I was sure were a scam but who knows. Odd thing now said to own 10,200 shares but was explained in detail how come by Bircher - very convincing guy.

Played along and after numerous Bircher calls, with difficulty to punch hole in his story, sent the agreement to them and asked a US lawyer check them up but he could not verify their legitimacy and only got answering machine when calling their number.

Later got a Paul Walker calling me from "Compliance Department" running me through details already in printed faxes to check my understanding of all and thereafter reeived bank account info to the "Government appointed" transfer agent with final bank account in Panama City.

Checked up a bit about Ledger Removal on the net and read the issuer of shares need give written consent for removal of legends so in e-mail asked them to provide copy of this consent letter.

Then got a 2nd Paul Walker by phone whom in aggressive manner told me I am far out etc and totally misled and be careful hinting they so far looked like a scam etc. His call monitored by Government etc!

After above call I sent e-mail requesting guidance how verify they are for real and also got details for National Mergers and Acquisition Compliance Comission and this where we are now!

Web site of Harbor Cpaital very skimpy and although the "Commission's" site look better still no "meat" in it such as personnel profiles or similar.

Anyway no funds going their way and we'll see when they give up - maybe already if smart enough to check this site!

Southsea Greetings

I have fallen victim of LM&A and the victitious International Securities Tax Commission (avoid calls from Marc Johnson, Robert Grayson and George Adamson they are all professional fraudsters). First made contact, by phone, in May to purchase shares I held in St.James Capital Holdings and having paid to have restrictions lifted and then purchased warrants attached to the shares all contact ceased mid-July without the promised payout. Obviously have contacted regulatory bodies and police but am not hopeful of retrieving my funds. Any other suggestions how to track down these criminals ?? (also has anyone had dealings with World Trade Financial Group located in Hong Kong)
Add Fleetwood Mergers & Acquisitions to the list of scammers. Same MO.
I have been contacted by "Jack Paris" (with a South Africa? accent) from Fleetwood Acquisitions and Mergers with the same MO as has been posted by others. His "Japanese" company wants to buy my $0.03 stock in a bankrupt company for $3.75. He has faxed U.S. Equities Purchase Agreement which, of course, requires the usual fee to remove the restrictions. Their web site, http://www.fwmna.com is totally bogus and I am getting the same high pressure calls that others have described. Fleetwood lists their offices as in Houston, Texas and Brussels, Belgium. He also agreed to send a "quarantee of purchase" letter, but only after I returned a signed agreement.

I am SO glad that I found this site!!!

Don't get caught by these guys.

I think we need to give a name to this type of scam.
Perhaps 'Secondary Pinksheet Scam' or 'Secondary Share Scams'

I have a similar story to most others. Was boiler room scammed about 6 years ago, and for the last 3 years get at least 1 secondary offer a month to 'trade out the shares', usually because someone wants to use them for a tax loss in the US.
If I can be bothered (ie if the spin on the story is new enough), I will ask them to email the proposal. I then whois their web site, and if it has been first registered within the last year, tell them to go away. Normally the web sites have only been around for 2 or 3 months.

The latest offer has come from 'Clover Mergers & Acquistions' by Mr Brenton Watson whos ceo is Mr Charles Ball, asking for a legend removal fee of $7500USD

We have also received an offer by 'Clover Mergers & Acquistions' :?: Mr Brenton Watson whos ceo is Mr Charles Ball, asking for a legend removal fee of $8400USD for shares which have dropped off the 'radar'.
You are referred to 'American Equities Agency'(http://www.aea-in.us) for verification, but that company is not known to the IN Authorities

I have been contacted by

David Parker
Senior Vice President of Accounts, Griffin Mergers and Acquisitions
8th Street and Nicollet Mall,
Downtown Minneapolis,
MN 55402-8773
United States of America
Phone: +1-612-284-2417
Fax: +1-612-677-3711
contact@griffinma.com

wanting a $10,000 fee (plus a $1000 commission) to remove the restriction off some Cita Biomedical shares (now Xino Corp - I bought them seven years ago and are now worthless) so he can pay me out US$120,000. Apparantly Xino corp have sold the patients they own for $147million and the money needs to be distributed to shareholders. The $10000 legend removal fee would be refunded. Yeah right!

David Parker also gave a US International Stock Regulators in Phoenix, Ph 001 602 357 1678, Fax 001 602 391 2036, to confirm the above.

The Arizona Securities Division had no record of the stock regulators.

The Minnesota Department of Commerce say Griffin Mergers and Acquisitions "do not appear to exist at the address indicated. That address is a major intersection in the heart of Minneapolis contained numerous business offices and retail establishments....There are generally no fees involved except for your legal expenses."

I managed to track down the current chairman of Xino Corp who there has been no such sale of its patients.

Its a pity the US securities cant shut these ratbags down. They are probably part of the original Madison Group (Tailand) who sold the shares in the first place.

Ted

I have just had a call from a firm called Stanley Capital Group, website http://www.stanleycapitalgroup.com. They want to buy 125,000 shares I bought 6 years ago for about 10 cents for "between $2.50 and $5"! I bought several sets of US Shares around then from Pacific Continental, who have since gone bust!

I smell a rat as anything that sounds too good to be true usually is!

Their web site claims they have been around for 20 years but a search on Google they appear on page 12! There is lots about Morgan Stanley Capital Group.

They have sent a form asking for details that looks amateurish. I have not had the follow up call yet so will let you know! I won't be sending any money.

I am based in UK by the way.

I have also been cold called by Stanley Capital Group offering to purchase my shares in a disolved company in order for a third party to aquire the intellectual property. They are offering a huge amount of money for what I consider are worthless shares, however they wish me to commit to a $20000 vendor bond in order for the transaction to take place. They claim to be resident at 1221 Avenues of the Americas, New York, but when questioned, they would not elaborate on a floor number. The Stanley Capital Group have no connection with Morgan Stanley Capital Group, but is it a coincidence that Morgan Stanley Capital Group are also based in this building. I am very suspicious about Stanley Capital Group and will not be sending them any money. Their web site http://www.stanleycapitalgroup.com does not match that of a company with a long history.
Has anyone had success dealings with Stanley Capital Group?
I am also based in the UK.

I was contacted two days ago, by telephone, by a William King of STANLEY CAPITAL GROUP- Mergers & Acquisitions regarding some Atlantic Caspian Resources PLC shares that we purchased in 2000. He claimed that "his client" was eager to buy as many shares as he could in order to prevent a hostile takeover bid. He offered us $1.50 per share. The shares are worthless and are listed as being so. The only trace of the STANLEY CAPITAL GROUP on the internet is their own website. They e-mailed us a form to complete and fax back to them. We will not be doing so.
