THEN today i received a certified flat rate envelope from the post office. Inside i received 2 $950.00 money orders from a Tina Avila, 55 Glenlake Pkwy NE, Atlanta GA 30328. The address links back to a UPS store in Georgia. So i went to the USPS website and it says how to figure out counterfeit money orders. These money orders still look legit. I went and tracked the package to find out it was sent from the same state i live in.

There are legitimate Mystery Shopper companies but i don't believe this is one. I am still trying to figure out how they were going to scam me. I am thinking of taking these to the post office to verify if these are legit or not. My boyfriend was the one that said go ahead and send your info. He knew of people that did this mystery shopper thing in the past.

Anyone else get scammed by this guy??? If you receive emails from him delete him. I also tried to call him but his phone number is set up by phone jack.

Not sure if i will hear anything else from him.

Hey - My name is Lisa and the money orders you received are fake. The same thing happened to me in March by a different company, but the same premise. I received 2 USPS money orders, each for $982.00, and never thought money orders could be counterfeited, so I actually deposited them in my bank account. The bank teller didn't even think they were fake, and I had funds available for about a week, then received a letter from the bank with copies of the money orders, and at the top of the copy it stated, "Altered/Fraudulent"! When I went to the bank to let them know what happened, the woman in the Fraud Dept. treated me like I was the criminal! She wanted to know why I didn't go straight to the post office, and I told her that if I had even a small inkling that the money orders were bogus, I WOULD HAVE gone to the USPS! So, hopefully my story will keep you from becoming another victim because now I'm $1,500.00 in the hole and I'm 50 years old - I should have known better!

I plan on taking mine to the post office. I wanted to check to see if they are fake or not. What a horrible scam! You mean they charged you for the money orders?
