Hello, The Naughty American, a national online news publication, is writing an article on holiday scams. Mike, I edited your post to remove the email address . . . it is not safe to post your email address . . . that is how some scammers collect emails. With our site, other members can always us the email link that is directly below each post you make. My husband and I were hit by our scam in October 2002, and I do remember that it made holiday shopping tight that year. I just wanted to let everyone know that I just got off the phone from doing my interview with Mike. I think it went really well. (sorry if I talked your ear off Mike!) I would encourage others to contact Mike and share their story. If you do not want your name used in the story, I am sure that he can arrange that. Remember . . . education is the key to fighting these scams, and news stories like these are the BEST form of education out there! |
