These include warnings on MoneyGram send forms for the customer to answer before sending money and agents verbally alerting customers when they see possible fraud taking place.
One of the ideas I also came up with!

Additionally, MoneyGram, a leading money order provider, has also redesigned its money orders to provide more highly visible safeguards against counterfeiting - the number one type of fraud for this kind of payment. The redesign incorporates visual and physical features that are easy to see on the front of each money order, not easy to replicate and contains an additional call to action for the recipient of a money order to verify its validity.
I just mentioned the other day in response to a blog posting that if actually money can be made so that it can be easily read to know in an instant that it is or is not counterfeit then why with all the technology that is available today can this not be done with checks and money orders??? There's no excuse for financial institutions to ignore this any longer! I'm happy to see that at last we are seeing a turnaround in these institutions to finally take responsiblility to institute these technologies and procedures for the betterment and protection of the consumer and to take a major step in the fight against this kind of fraud! Hopefully now other financial institutions, including banks and other wiring services such as Western Union, will take notice of what MoneyGram is doing and will also step up to the plate and do the same!
