Post subject:  Paypal

After an Ebay auction gone very bad I had to deal with Paypal in an effort to get my money back. After a lot of online investigation I'm convinced Paypal itself is a scam. They make it sound as though your online transactions are always secure. It's bulls!*t. The truth is that when the crap hits the fan and your money goes missing or you don't receive the promised goods, you might as well kiss it goodbye - unless of course you used your credit card with its fraud protection and paid the extra interest, negating the reason for using Ebay in the first place.

I have since read messages from hundreds of people who have been scammed on Ebay and launched a dispute with Paypal. The standard response from Paypal is that they have ruled in their favor but are unable to recover any funds...and then they close the inquiry. That's it - over! You are out your money and there the story ends unless you can persuade your financial institution to refund your money. We all know how much credit card companies and bank love to give back money. Paypal profits along with the thieves on fraudulent Ebay auctions. There is little incentive to shut the thieves down. It took them two months after my case was initiated for Paypal to close the scammer down by which time he'd victimized many more bidders.
