Post subject:  Nigerian love scam? Tell me your story!

Hi everyone,

I'm sorry to hear you have all had such horrible experiences with internet dating scams. My name is Sharon and I'm a journalist for a small, friendly media company based in Birmingham, in the UK. One of the major national newspapers over here is looking for people just like yourselves to tell their stories. Specifically, they are looking for British women who have fallen victim to Nigerian love scams. They want to interview someone willing to talk about their experience and be photographed for a story to run asap. There will be a small financial reward for the participant.

If you think you would be willing to talk about your experience, and you're a woman living in the UK who has been the victim of a Nigerian love con, then please contact me as soon as you can and I can tell you a little more and answer any questions you might have.

Many thanks,
Sharon Baker.

Hello Sharon and thank you for your interest here... you must first be approved by the site admistrator before you can have this type of contact with any victims on this site... we have too many coming on this site "claiming" to be a reporter, investigator etc so you must first be approved... scam victims are our top priority and we do this is to protect them from becoming a victim again. Your information has been given to the admistrator and they will contact you shortly... thank you for understanding.

I did some checking, and this appears to be legit. Please contact her via PM or the email button under her post. Posting your email address on an open message board is not safe.

Thanks,

just 3 weeks into communication with a Match.com contact, HARRY KNIGHT was in love with me, a one-woman man and very romantic. I was his `baby` and going to help him get back a love life since the tragic death of his wife. He was a building contractor, widow with a 15-year old son named Cody, currently working in Lagos, Nigeria. When he asked for $500 to set up an account for payment from the job, it didn`t take too long to find him on scambook.com. After doing some research on Nigerian Romance Scams, I am blown away by the industry. Note: he did not get one penny from me. DON`T GO THERE!!
