Post subject:  Scam Validation

Hello All, I was wondering if anyone had any information on a man by the name of Lord Brew. I've found one of his photos on a scammer site. The one thing is he claims to be only 3 hours away in Asheville and offered to take me to lunch one day until I stopped him. However, I'm sure as the time got closer, he would have came up with an excuse as to why he couldn't make it. Also, he has a valid mailing/house address in Asheville and passport which matches up with the address. I had one of my government friend's verify this; however, it's in his businesses name which matches what my friend found at the register of deeds. He is rarely online but calls pretty frequent. He gave me his phone number first which is in my area code; not his (I don't have it anymore because I thought it was a scam). I just have a lot of red flags only because he has professed his love for me without even meeting me first. I'm just waiting on the hammer to come down when he asks me for cash. Here's his story: He goes by the name Lord Brew, He's 44 yrs old, Birthday Nov. 20, He's a white male originally from London, He has a 17 year old son who lives with his Mom (or Mum as he says)in Florida - they divorced 3 years ago, His mother still lives in the UK, He works for the UN as a project manager, He has his own business here in the states (will not tell me what it is until we meet in person), He flew out of the Greenville SC airport to JFK to Eygpt Wednesday and will return November 7th to Asheville, when he wants me to visit. As you can see there are some serious red flags in this story and before I get too far, I want to verify my resources. He has sent me several photos which appear to be the same person and a passport. Although when we talk on the phone, I can understand what he's saying, it's just he does NOT sound Brit by far. More of a thick African accent. Any feedback someone can offer is appreciated.

I think it is good that you are checking into this . . . it does raise some red flags.

I googled Lord Brew scam and I found this message thread on another board, and the pictures look like the ones you posted.

Thank you for the insight into this character. I read the postings on the other site and YES, it appears to be the same person. This is really scary because he has a NC Driver's License, a passport and several photos of this guy. The name on the IDs even matches the home address he is using. As of today, I'm done speaking with Mr. Brew. Thanks again!
