Post subject: They need to see my passport!
PostPosted: Tue May 10, 2005 11:17 am
I'm trying to "bait" a 419er right now, getting them to waste their time. I've given them a fake name. Now, they keep asking to see my driver's license, Photo ID, or passport?

Any advice for proceeding?

CARL, TRY THIS , ASK THEM TO SEE THEIR PHOTO ID FIRST, IT ONLY MAKES SENSE THAT YOU WANT TO BE SURE WHO THEY ARE BEFORE YOU GIVE THEM ANY PERSONAL INFORMATION.

Thanks everyone,
I tried 419eater.com -- for some reason I've been unable to register there.

They sent a fake passport -- I tried to Dr. a passport image (a sample on the web -- not mine) and they didn't buy it. So, I lost that one, but I'm trying to have yahoo shut that address down (estrl_jude@yahoo.com) -- apparently they've been using it to scam for a long time, I actually found that address on some 419 forums.

I really hate these guys! Good luck. Those of you who are victims, I hope you get your $ back.

If you want to string them along further tell them that you dont have any foto ID as you are blind (no DL) and have never left the country (no passport) or that you are currently incarcerated (forwhatever you like) but are hpoing for an early parole....it may not deter them but it lets u string them along farther....better yet give them your phone number and request that they call you for some details and then keep them on the phone as long as you can....now that is funny as they waste their time and money having to call you..DWales dwalescmi@aol.com
