Hi there,
Just a warning to all..
I recently received an email from David Federman, Merseyside Special Investment Evaluation Incorporation offering Secret Shopper work. The task was to evaluate McDonalds and Western Unions in my local Liverpool area. I was told I would be sent £1800 to cover costs. The breakdown was as follows:
Money Received ....£1800 Salary .................£100 Mc Donalds................£50 (Buy whatsoever you wish) Western Union...............£1500 Western Union Transfer costs..........£100 Transport/Miscellaneous..£50
A week went by and there was no sign of the cheque. I then received an email apologising for the delay in payment and that it would be sent out immediately. I received it yesterday, it instantly looked suss. The writing on the envelope is hardly readable and the stamp is in the middle. The cheque was for £1800. It is a bank of Scotland cheque, 600 Georgie Rd, Edinburgh, EH11 3XP. It is signed 'For & on behalf of Align Accountancy Limited'. After doing some research I've discovered that the David Federman signing the emails is associated with other similar scams. You cash the cheque and get landed with the bill. Do not get involved in this and certainly do not cash the cheques!!!!
Any one else had experiences with this crook??
Byron.
