I received a letter from a place called COMEX in Ontario, CN with a check for $4,200.00 from an American company called Bayes Achievement Center, Inc. in Huntsville, TX. Along with it was a Research Group Acceptance form, which they wanted me to sign, fax back and then cash the check. The letter stated that I was to be a "mystery shopper" in my home area and I was to visit WalMart, Macy's, JCPenney, Target, etc. and "watch" the salespeople and report my findings back to them. Sounded legit (but they all do). I decided to call the agent listed on the letter, Alison Banks. She was very nice until I started asking questions if this was a legitimate business. Then she started getting defensive and saying things like, "it's just being a mystery shopper... what don't you understand about that?" She even put her "supervisor" on the phone and she belittled me some more. The money was to cover the shopping, two hours of my time ($130) and required funds to be sent... back to them I suppose ($3,700). I decided to do a reverse phone look-up on their number (902-412-3117) when I received a charge on my cell phone for the international call and found that they are actually Fido Solutions - the same scamming artists using a pre=paid cell phone number.

 Just a "BEWARE" to those who want to start their own home business...

Don't apply to anything on-line! This is how these get started. I received numerous calls from people all over the country trying to get my money to get started in their lame businesses. Not only that, I have received all kinds of emails and letters promising me thousands of dollars.

DON'T BE A SUCKER! Nothing is as good as it sounds!! Get a legitimate job, doing a hard day's work and feel good about yourself that you didn't scam someone else with one of these bogus businesses.
