Post subject:  Cashier Check Scam
I have been approached by one of these scamers!
Here is the email below. The check is supposedly in the mail to me.
Any suggestions?????


Thanks for your time,effort and anticipated cooperation towards this transaction....

Sorry for my late response , I have been trying to reach my client but to no avail due to his present health condition....As you should understand that we works with our clients instruction before we advise on the status of the transaction...

Anyway , I was able to reach him today via his mobile line and he informed me that the delay in the follow up of the check payment was delayed due to his poor health condition but he advised me that he contacted the refund company and they informed him that they were waiting for his final confirmation before they send out the payment due to the mistake in your name in the previous payment made .

Pls i advised that you expect the payment by wednesday next week being 13th day of December ,2006 because he got me informed that the payment has been sent out to your location yesterday ..

Once again, We are really very sorry for the delay in the payment...

Do not send them any money would be my suggestion. Once you get the check if they contact you and demand that you send the money just tell them that the check is counterfeit and that you have turned all if their information over to the FBI and Secret Service.
