Has anyone tried contacting the talk shows to see if there is interest in doing a story about victims of the Nigerian Fraud and the US Banks? They all have "submit a story" options. Just wondered if anyone tried this? Any response?

i haven't tried it or anything .. haven't been a victim of such a huge scam like the Nigerian one, but that would definitely be a good idea .. montell does more of the emotional talk shows tho

I have tried contacting those types of shows when I first became a vicitm, but maybe now that there are more of us we should add one of those types of shows to the list we would like to approach through our letter writing campaigns. It is getting close to June, and if we were going to hit one show per month then it is getting close to time to pick the next target. I would want to pick one that we feel would actually do a good show on the topic and be respectful of the victims . . . I would REALLY like to get this on Oprah!

I did send my story to Oprah but got no response. I would resend it if we add it to any of the talk shows or media to be sent to as a group. I went to Law enforcement in January in regards to being a secondary victim of the Nigerian scam. I finally got the response last week and it was "since she believed she was going to get the inheritance she did not defraud you". Even with all the proof and the fact that she told a totally different story then the one she was told. So do scammers get away with it and the law let them even in our own country? I say hell yes they do and the innocent get screwed. Now I have to file in civil court if I want to get any of the money back that was borrowed from me. I am not going to spend the money to do this because I know that no matter what she will not pay any money back after the refusal to prosecute her. She said she would not get prosecuted because she knows people and I guess she was right.
