| Post subject: | Check Counterfiet Scam |
I fell victim to the same thing. Slightly different story but a counterfiet check which my bank overdrew funds against from my account. They are requesting I deposit 35K the amount overdrawn. Can anyone help me with this? I waited till the counterfiet check cleared and wrote a $300 dollar check against it. Help, seeking experienced advise...thank you.

Why would you need to deposit 35 thousand if you only wrote a 300 dollar check? |

I agree with Armac - if you only spent $300 of the $35,000 from the fake check, you only owe the bank $300. Or have you sent a signifant portion of that $35,000 to the scammer, via Western Union? |
