I lost 10K to a wire transfer to the Bank ofToyko Mitsubishi which was backed up by a counterfeit check. The Bank of Toyko's attorney has agreed to provide information to "law enforcement." The government agency helping me, advised me to write to my congressman/senator and ask them to write to the Secret Service and ask for an investigation in Japan. There is a direct link between the people who swindled me and the pepetrators of this scam, yet no one will help. Japan does not have indmenification laws, and this is likely why it was chosen as a contact location by the people who scammed me. Has anyone else been given this advice? Has anyone tried asking a lawmaker to intervene with the Secret Service?
