In light of Katrina, do we want to hold off on this idea?

Katrina and the damage she caused will be the big news for a while, and while this scam is "big news" to us, I just do not know if we can compete with what is going on now for a major news spot.

What do you think?

I have to agree with you Shawn, I think the letter wrinting campaign should be put off for now, there is to much tragedy going on with what happened in the south with Katrina.

Just wondering what the members here think . . . should we start planning this again?

I am ready Shawn anytime you are. Let me know and I'll get my letter written. Thus far, we've put together a timeline and today gave a copy to the local county detective in hopes they'll be successful with the still active scammers phone numbers.

When I got home from work the other day there were 3 phone messages from ABC News on my machine . . . they are looking to do a story on these types of scams. They wanted to air something that night, but they were not able to find enough people to interview and talk to on such short notice.

I was thinking that since they have shown interest in doing a segment about this already, why don't we do this letter writing campaign NOW and start it off with ABC!
